From McAllen to Austin, and now to your first home.

Rubie Armstrong was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, where English and Spanish were both just the language of home. That bilingual foundation still shapes how she works today. She doesn't translate real estate for Spanish speaking clients after the fact. She works in both languages from the first conversation.

Before real estate, Rubie built a career around teaching and caring for people: she worked as a bilingual educator, earned certification as a health coach, and taught yoga. Those are three very different jobs with one thing in common: meeting people where they are and explaining things clearly, without jargon and without judgment.

Her path into real estate started with two years as a leasing agent in Austin, where she handled contracts, negotiations and market questions for renters every single day. That groundwork, built before she ever held a sales license, is a big part of why she leads with process and paperwork clarity, not pressure.

Rubie describes herself as a former single mom, and she's open about what that means: she knows what it's like to run the numbers on a budget more than once before deciding a move is possible. That's the lens she brings to first time buyers, especially women and Spanish speaking families, who are doing the same math she once did.

Today she's a REALTOR® with Jorgenson Real Estate and a member of its Casa Latina team, a group inside the brokerage built specifically to help Spanish speaking buyers and sellers get contracts, financing explanations and lender introductions in their own language, including programs for buyers using an ITIN instead of a Social Security number.
